We truly enjoyed spending 2 nights here. Everything was fairly clean and wonderful. Had central location close to cafes & restaurants. The service was nice, including an excellent breakfast with fruit salad, options for most diets plus wine.

Location - close to city link bus service - and close to family we were visiting. Good breakfast included. Free access to WiFi. Helpful and cheerful staff. Room heater and also electric blanket provided.

Upper level rooms difficult for senior citizens to access up staircase. Ask beforehand for a room on ground floor if you need this.

The staff was friendly and check-in was early. the hotel is centrally located next to the sea in a beautiful park. - It is conveniently close to Ponsonby shops, restaurants, and cafes. - Guests can enjoy a substantial breakfast, comfy beds, and elegant decor reminiscent of yesteryear.

Our accommodation had a spacious villa with a nice balcony, coffee amenities, climate control, and good soundproofing.

The staff were welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable, The drink on arrival was a lovely touch as was the quality and price of the refreshments. We loved the breakfast and nothing felt like too much trouble.

The rooms are nicely styled and huge, with a balcony for some fresh air. the breakfast was very good and lovely, especially the fruit salad. the staff were pleasant and helpful. the location next to shops and restaurants on Ponsonby Road is awesome. Great place to explore all the shops and restaurants in New Zealand.

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, the check in was early.

the room is beautifully designed and huge and has a clean bathroom. the hotel is set in a great location next to cafes, shopping, restaurants to the substantial breakfast, comfy beds and elegant daycore of yesterday year.

The room had an electric kettle and glassware, making it convenient, and the cozy bed was equipped with electric blankets and down pillows.

The room we got was not acceptable for the price paid, very small, very small bathroom with shower only closed by a curtain. Owner reacted very defensive when we asked for another room. The second room was ok, but not what we expected from an "Arthotel". 5 star hotels were available in the city at the same time, so the Great Ponsonby was a disapointment for us

Room was comfortable but compact. Good selection for breakfast.

This place had a chill atmosphere. the rooms were old-school but spacious, equipped with cozy electric blankets and fluffy down pillows, and offered nice views. the staff were all super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. 😊
